The Kia Cerato was officially launched in Malaysia - the
successor to the successful Forte is here available in versions 1.6 and 2.0
liters.
Unit 1.6-liter dual CVVT Gamma MPI II develops 130 hp and
157 Nm of torque, and can be re- quoted 6.8 liters per 100 km in combined cycle.
New to the 2.0-liter Cerato product Nu MPI 161 hp and 194 Nm
of torque, is indicated by a consumption of 7.0 liters per 100 km. Both engines
are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
